چکیده
Aluminium alloys are increasingly popular in structural engineering applications because they have high strength, low weight and great durability. However, the mechanical properties of aluminium alloy material may be significantly affected by temperature. This paper presents a numerical study on behaviour channel section columns at elevated temperatures. A non-linear finite element (FE) model was developed validated against 27 experimental results The FE used to conduct an extensive parametric study, which total 360 were generated key parameters for include two types (6061-T6 6063-T5), three lengths (360 mm, 1000 mm 2000 mm) ten temperatures (range from 24 °C 600 °C). design strengths calculated using American, Australia/New Zealand European Standards compared with study. In addition, reliability analysis assess level considered methods.

AZ31 magnesium alloy is considered as a promising alloy in various applications and industries. Furthermore, to design a proper hot working process (rolling, forging and extrusion), the assessment of hot working behaviour of the alloy is necessary. Accordingly, the hot deformation behaviour of AZ31 alloy was studied through hot compression testing method This was carried out in a wide range of ...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of IGBTs at Elevated Temperatures
In this paper we present a 2D finite difference device simulator which has been developed to underpin the design and optimisation of power IGBTs. The simulator has been used to investigate the effect of elevated temperatures on the performance of the IGBT for use in environments where ambient temperatures up to 200°C are likely. The preliminary results of this investigation are reported here.
متن کاملApplication of T-shape Friction T test for Ti-6Al-4V Alloy at Elevated Temperatures
There are several parameters that have significant influence in metal forming process. One of the most important of them is friction coefficient. Friction can change the pattern of metal flow and the force needed for deformation. It is necessary to determine the friction coefficient to study the effect of friction on metal forming process. This study is concerned with numerical and experimental...
متن کاملNumerical analysis of large deformation processes at elevated temperatures
The authors describe a theoretical model and kinematic approach suitable for the numerical analysis of problems at large deformation finite strains and rotations. The presented formulations are implemented incrementally with a non-linear and rate-dependent constitutive model, adequate to the simulation of high temperature processes. The large deformation kinematic model is based on the additive...
متن کاملDesign and Weight Optimization of Aluminium Alloy Wheel
This paper deals with the design of aluminum alloy wheel for automobile application which is carried out paying special reference to optimization of the mass of the wheel. The Finite Element analysis it shows that the optimized mass of the wheel rim could be reduced to around 50% as compared to the existing solid disc type Al alloy wheel. The FE analysis shows that the stress generated in the o...
